Hey there, everyone. I just want to say that I’m thrilled to see so many comic artists wanting to bring my story to life through drawings. I would have agreed to work with each and every one of you if I didn’t have one big issue:
Money.
The simple reality is that I’m broke. Dirt poor. I’m just a kid who writes in his free time—time which I don’t have much of these days because of major examinations. If I were a well-functioning adult with money to spare, I’d happily pay every single one of you artists, but I can’t. Please don’t take this as a rude rejection; I’m simply not in a position to support your careers financially.
If you’re still willing to work on a project based on my story, I won’t object. In fact, I’d be delighted. My only requests are that you let me know and that you include one—just one—dedication page.
