Sometimes I wonder how people can hate on itafushi. Like, i respect people’s opinion if they just don’t vibe with it, but hating on it? Genuinely what did itafushi do to get hated on, why are people even hating on a cute and legal ship when they could be hating on gojo x yuji or sukuna x megumi or smth?
Like, I don’t really vibe with hana x megumi but I don’t hate on them, so why exactly do people go out of their way to hate on itafushi when they can just scroll right past?
Heck, this isn’t even just about itafushi anymore, I’ve seen people hating on other perfectly good ships. Man I’ve seen people hating on ships just bc they weren’t canon like wtf do they think shipping’s for?
And let’s not forget that some people say ‘oh but theyre just friends in canon u can’t ship them’ like HELLOOOO THATS WHY FANFICTION EXISTS.
Like I understand and respect people’s opinion but do people really think that shippers are gonna stop shipping a ship they like jsut because they think of them as platonic or as just friends?
And also, hating is just not a good thing to do! Why do people feel the need to hate on smth other people enjoy? Like… that’s such a miserable to do why can’t people jsut let people be happy?
Like earlier on TikTok I saw this girl who said she liked yutamaki, hakari x kirara, anither straight jjk ship that I unfortunately forgot, and itafushi. People were hating on itafushi in the comments, and I was genuinely confused about why shipping itafushi was such a big deal.
I mean… it’s just a ship. It’s not really a big deal if a person ships smth unless it’s like… illegal.
In fact… i thought itafushi was hella popular. Btw I’m speaking just for the TikTok jjk fandom here (idk about the jjk fandom on other apps and stuff), but I’ve seen so much itafushi hate and none of them had a really good reason to be hating on it other than ‘oh I see them as friends’ or ‘oh yuuji’s straight’ or ‘oh this is just slop’ like damn the fandom’s not gonna stop shipping it…
…(yes I have to rant about this this is aggravating me and I have a cold and I am shivering with cold and with rage) just because u don’t like it like people can live their life how they want to and ship ships they want to ship and u can’t really do anything about it.
And really when did what people ship become SUCH a big deal? Why can’t people just scroll past what they don’t like?
Like why can’t people jsut be chill and happy and not hate on each other.
This world is miserable enough, must fandoms become miserable as well?
