Sorry, but one of the most IRRITATING things in fiction (at least to me) is when the main character is mind controlled. Especially for longer than it needs to be.
          
          Like, cases where they join the enemy side and fight their friends? I don't mind. It's when they're controlled to just not act the same around their friend group.
