the stigma around DID is so unreasonably stupid. I can't even mention one of my headmates without people pointing every single reason as to why I don't have DID.  that completely invalidates the trauma that comes along with the disorder.  If you take anything away from this rant, I hope it's this: there is no set of rules for a disorder. there are certain things that need to happen to have one, yes, but everyone's experience is different. No one is going to tell someone with anxiety that they don't have anxiety because they don't nervous fidget. So why do people say you don't have DID if you don't have severe dissociative amnesia? being a ginger is as common as having DID, it's not a rare thing like people make it out to be. this disorder goes more underdiagnosed than over diagnosed.  I already know what some people are going to say, but if even one person can relate to this and not feel alone, I'm willing to say it here. I have not been professionally diagnosed yet. I have asked for an examination or to just talk to someone trained for dissociative disorders, but my therapist refuses to acknowledge me or believe me. My parents think I'm doing it to gain attention and will not let me see any professionals. Any other systems out there, I love all of you and you are all valid. Any singlets who genuinely want to learn more or ask questions, positive or negative, I'm here

I don't know who need to hear this, but I love you. You are so extremely valid, and all of your emotions matter. You are loved, you are accepted, you have so much to lie for. don't think about the bad things, think about every little good thing, some random kid on the internet really loves and cares about you and spends too much time crying because they feel responsible when someone they know leaves. Please, please, please, keep fighting. I love you, we love you, you are loved, you are valid, you are beautiful <3
