I'm writing a story based in J.K. Rowling's world of Harry Potter, called Ossian Selwyn and the Bone Wand. This story explores new ground within this universe, including a metaphysics of magic, the potential of each Hogwarts house, and the consequences of a class-based society that places magical talent, pureblood lineage, and humanity at the top of the hierarchy. 

The story focuses on Ossian Selwyn, an orphaned Squib who through mysterious circumstances is given a Bone Wand that allows him to access magic and be accepted into Hogwarts. As Ossian navigates the school, he must find a way to belong in a world that would cast him out if the truth were revealed - a world with deeply entrenched norms, inequality, and expectations he may never fully satisfy.
