I usually have interest on Unexplained phenomena's/Unexplained mysteries.  I take that non-fictional subject and mix it up with a little bit of fictional subject. In the end i come up creepypasta. I love writing about creepypasta/urban legends. The interesting thing about it is you will always end up having two choices on whether its true or false. That question is for you viewers to decide.
