Hello everyone, been a long while hasn't it?
          
          The journey I've taken since I've left this website has been absolutely amazing and has changed me so much. Both in terms of my writing and the way I live my life. In that time I haven't quit working on my story. 
          
          Oh no, in fact, I've worked even harder than before and have gotten so much done. So much so that it is completely different than how I originally posted it. 
          
          With this in mind, I have unpublished the story both to give me some space to alter certain things and to let the rough draft stay with me. Now, this is in no way saying that the story will be shared any time soon. In fact, it is still a ways away from where I think it can be and where I know it will be. Until then, I'll go back to working and improving my life, and I hope all of you reading this do the same.
          
          I don't even know if anyone will even read this haha. Maybe not even you, Protocol. Which, if you are, I hope you are doing well and my God I'm so sorry I haven't read your story. I've been going through so much and have been improving so much that I just stuck myself into high gear and continued seeking ways to improve. But I'll never forget that you were there for me from the very beginning and that means more to me as I continue to make my dreams, no, my destiny, come true. 
          
          If anyone else is reading this, I wish you well and I'll update you all again one day down the line, whenever that may be.

Hello everyone, back again with another update.
          
          I’ve slowly been getting better but still have a ways to go. The good thing is I’ve continued work on SOTM but I’ve got to make a major announcement about the future direction of the story.
          
          After much thought of how this story has been going and it’s time of release per chapter, I’m finding it difficult to write worth while chapters without feeling rushed to release them. To me this is evident in the chapters so far and while taking a bit of time to think about it, I’m making an announcement that there will not be another SOTM chapter until I have completed writing for the entire story. That way I can release them every week without bringing the quality down on each installment.
          
          I know some of you will hate my decision but honestly, this story is really important to me and I want it written as best it can be. With that being said, if you want to unfollow me because of the lack of chapters, I totally understand. And for those of you who stick around, thank you so much for staying and trust me, it’ll be worth it when the chapters are rolled out!
          
          I’ll also be updating the current chapters with newer versions in the meantime and will get back to being more active as soon as I’m fully healed up.

Hey everyone...it's been a while.
          
          Sorry for the lack of updates, I'm currently going through a lot and I don't want to scare you with the details. Due to certain circumstances I've been ripped out of most of the free time I've had and not sure it'll return for a while. 
          
          So with this in mind, I, unfortunately, have to say that my story, Spirit of the Machine, will have to be delayed until further notice. I want to continue it but my health and studies have become a factor for me and they've taken up most of my days now. I will update you all when work starts up again and thank you all for your patience.
          
          I won't let this story die. I've let other ideas die before but this one won't, I can't and I won't let it happen. No matter what happens to me I'll still make sure this story gets finished. Thank you all and I'll see you around.

UPDATE!
          
          The 6th chapter of SOTM has been published! Along with it comes the new cover and I'm curious to see what people think of it. Thank you to everyone who has shown support and taken the time out of their day to read this story. It truly means a lot and I know a lot of people say that but seriously, to know that someone out there took time out of their lives to read something I wrote, its an amazing thing for me. 
          
          The next chapter will take a bit longer to publish as stated in the latest chapter. I'm going to be working on tidying up the previous chapters and including some works of mine that illustrate the true metropolis of Starlight District.

So I woke up earlier today and turned on the tv to get my morning started. But as soon as the screen turned on I was met with news of another shooting, this time in Dayton, Ohio.
          
          Not even a day after El Paso, another person decided to do harm to our own kind and I'm just sick of it. I send my condolences to the victims, friends, and families of those in the area and pray for their safety.

I want to send my condolences and prayers to the people of El Paso, Texas and the victims who have been affected by the shooting earlier today. 
          
          It sickens me knowing we live in a world where this has become a somewhat regular occurrence. I will never understand why people choose to harm others of their own kind. We breathe the same air, have the same blood, made of the same organs, yet they still find it okay to harm our own kind. I can't help but always think that today could be my last and it's horrifying to think kids might think this way as well. I can't believe this world we live in now and I hope things get done to stop these events from ever happening again.
          
          Sorry for ranting but I just had to share this with all of you. I pray for the victims and pray for everyone's safety and well being. Take care and stay safe everyone.

UPDATE!
          
          I'm currently finalizing a potential cover for SOTM that'll replace the current one. I know I said I wanted the new cover to better represent the metropolis of Starlight District but after some thought and hours of seeing what worked and what didn't, I think it would be best to go with a cover that represents the story itself.  I also noticed that there's an option to put images in chapters so they'll be opportunities to show off the district in more ways which will be really cool.
          
          The cover should be changed along with the release of chapter 6 on the 10th of August.  Also, be on the lookout for more things happening with the story in the coming weeks.
          
          With that said, thanks so much for reading this update and thanks for all your support. To have an idea that took me quite a while to work out and to see it get shown the love it's been given really is a good feeling and we're just getting started.

ATTENTION!
          
          The fifth chapter of SOTM has been released! It's been a blast writing this chapter and I hope all of you enjoy it. Also, I wanted to give an update on the cover work for the story. It's still being worked on and it's still being decided so I'm going to keep the original cover for now until I can create one I'm happy with.  It most likely will be published with a future chapter of which I'll be sure to update you all on as soon as possible.

Update on SOTM:
          
          I've thought about this for a while and I think I might be updating the cover for the story to something else. I'm experimenting a little and if I can make a better book cover It'll replace the current one. I want a cover that'll really capture how amazing the metropolis of Starlight District really is and hopefully, I can succeded in this. I'll update you all if the cover I'm working on is able to replace the current one.

The 4th chapter of SOTM has been released! It's quite a bit shorter than the last chapter but hopefully, you all can find enjoyment in it. The release date is still being worked on for the next chapter but it could come as early as the 27th of July. I'll keep updating you all with that and as always, take care, everyone!
