! PROTESTING !
I know that some people who are reading this might be going to protests, so I want to talk about staying safe while you are protesting.
Please bring at least one person with you, as abductors go to these protests, fully aware that the protests will be complete chaos, there's not going to be a lot of people paying attention to who's being taken, and the police presence is mainly going to be focused on the protests instead of who's being abducted.
Wear baggy clothes ( but not too baggy that you can't run in them ) or wear multiple layers to hide your body shape.
Wear a mask, cover as much as your face as possible, wear a hoodie or a wig to cover your hair.
To help with teargas, have airtight goggles, oven mitts, and a water bottle that can be easily opened. Make sure that you also have a traffic cone to help.
First, put on your goggles, get a traffic cone anywhere nearby, put it over the teargas, then, use the water bottle to fill it till it's cooled down or it stops releasing gas. Pick up the traffic cone and then get rid of the container with your oven mitts on.
Cover tattoos, pricings, scars and do not wear any brands.
Do not leave your skin exposed.
Don't wear contact lenses, as if you get teargassed, the teargas will get in between your eye and the lens.
Have at least two emergency contacts written somewhere.
Don't wear things that can be easily grabbed.
Avoid using any lotions or oils as it might trap chemicals from the teargas.
White people, use your privilege to protect black people.
Bring snacks and water so you can stay hydrated.
Bring cash and do not use a credit card if you are going to buy something so the police do not track you down.
Wear something that will protect your eyes from rubber bullets.
Try to wear a helmet, as shit might hit the fan, and cops will not hesitate to go violent. They might push you and cause head trauma if you land hard enough.
That's all I can say, as there is a letter limit.
