You were on my mind today as I was going back through my reading list- hope you are doing ok- I know the last message you left us was hard.

Hello, my fishies.
          
          I come to you today to let you know that there will be a break in the updates for "Quiet Hope Beach".
          
          My father-in-law has reached end-of-life and I spent the last 1.5 weeks providing hospice care. Unfortunately I had to go back to work - he still lingers but is on the delightful hospice cocktail now most of the time, so he won't last much longer (and is in no pain at all). I am able to visit again this Thursday - hopefully I will have the chance to comfort him again. This is the third person I have hospiced, and is the one I am most close to. He was the father mine never was, and it is wrecking me.
          
          My brain isn't in writing mode at all. I apologize for this delay but I know that if I push through with writing, it will be lacking.
          
          And you (and I) deserve more than a half-assed writing.
          
          Hug those you love and tell them so. Forgive whenever you can. Speak your truth even if your voice trembles. Be good to yourself and all those that you encounter.

Hey everone!
          
          First off - I've decided that you all are now officially called my fishies. That's your fandom name.
          
          Second - your patience is so very much appreciated. I took a three month sabbatical from March - June. Cleared my head, dealt with some issues from my childhood, took care of myself, and did an amazing thing: I walked the Camino de Santiago, an 800 kilometer journey across northern Spain.
          
          Back home now and I am going through a major purge of STUFF because all of it was smothering me. Back to writing, and so here's the epilogue of our sweet story of Taehyung and Jungkook. I hope you love it!
          
          As always, I welcome constructive criticism and feedback, and especially if you find a typo.

Well, the last date is published. I apologize for the delay, but I found an error in The Twelve Days of Christmas song sub plot (how I missed it in the first place - my god my high school choir teacher would be furious with me) and it took some significant rewriting.
          
          Maybe I should try for less complex and detailed plots?
          
          Nah, that wouldn't be any fun.
          
          I hope you enjoy this chapter, and look forward to the epilogue, because there's more smut!

          Today begins "Short Pull, Half Caf, With Sprinkles", a TaeKook holiday love story.
          
          It's a story in 15 parts and will be published throughout the month of December, beginning today and ending December 24.  Along the way, you have the chance to win some prizes (that tie into the story). Here's how it works:
          
          Comment on each "Date" chapter, at least five words. Like, a real comment, ok? Each person is entered into that chapter's drawing. One entry per person per chapter. This will be open all of December and January. This is open on WattPad and ao3, so you can double your chances by reading this story on both platforms!
          
          At the end of January, all commenters are entered into a random drawing for the prize. Prize will be mailed to you in February (yes, I will ship internationally).

Hello, lovely readers!
          
          The next chapter of "YoonJin's Gift" will be posted this Friday, and then I will take a much needed break and spend a little over a week on Kauai.
          
          But I wanted you to know a few things: 
          
          1. How very much I appreciate your kind comments, links to my work posted on social media, the kudos and votes, and the enthusiasm you have for Cadence's story. I write for myself - but I'm not gonna lie, feeling this love is amazing! And it certainly helps keep me going. 
          
          2. Your patience in waiting for updates. Usually it's because I'm wrestling with the storyline or doing  significant research. But I also have been going through a high-anxiety period for the last five months or so, and it has definitely affected my creative flow. 
          
          3. There's fun stuff in the works! 
          
               I have the outline and beginnings of a Hawaiian themed J Hope x original character, titled "Quiet Hope Beach".  I will be writing this one while in Hawai'i and plan to post it on my return. So, look for it in the middle of July!
          
               "To Touch the Sevens" has fleshed out into a seven part series, following the formula set up in TTT7s, and it will follow Sam through her experiences with Bangtan. 
          
               Two new Christmas One Shot plotlines have developed, one of which is a TaeKook alternative universe (Short Pull, Half Caff, With Sprinkles). The other one is still percolating. This is my first foray into writing that doesn't focus on my biases, so it will certainly stretch my skills. 
          
               Several Facebook group posts- or  reader-inspired story outlines have been developed, including "The Sooz Move," "Keep It Down!", "Gini's Jewels" and a Yoongi x reader post-concert smut fest (not a y/n). Oh, there's also "Seven Blindfolds" ....... and I am guessing you can figure out the plotline of that one!
          
          It is nice to know that when I lay awake until 3am from anxiety, at least something good comes from it - lots of story ideas. LoL
