"The Room" is something to really think about. Your writing is such a visceral exploration of isolation and delves deeply into feelings of fear of the unknown. The poem constructs a strong sense of unease through vivid and striking imagery. The Room in it of itself is this hollow shell that serves as not only a sanctuary for the narrator but a prison. The conclusion is especially impactful, arousing the sensation of falling into oblivion. The never-ending void evokes a sense of fear within. Amazing work!♡ The speaker in your poem describes their surroundings as though they are aware of the shabby conditions of the Room, implying that they knew a life before said Room. Did they?

@TheCrustyBawls Thank you for answering! I love when authors leave room for interpretation, and I admire how effortlessly you have implemented such opportunities throughout your work. Your writing has just the right amount of vagueness that paves the way for imagination and theory. There's an infinite number of ways to interpret your story, and you've written it in such a way that none are particularly wrong. Your work is beautiful and is something that can be thought about and discussed openly and endlessly, which is something that is truly praiseworthy. I commend you! Thank you for sharing your art!☆

Hi! Thank you so much for reading and showing love for my story! I think your opinions and interpretation of “The Room.” is very cool, and much appreciated! To semi-answer your question, my intent when writing it was so that the vagueness could make readers have similar questions to yours and make theories for themselves, then expanding those theories to fit whatever metaphors and symbolism they collect from the story. Thanks for your question and love! ❤️
