I'm a young writer who has ideas about fantasy and sci-fi, and werewolfs. And not to forget dragons. 

I cut my story telling teeth as a DM (dungeon master), though I have been writing stories long before that. But DMing gave me experience at interactive story telling, and how character can act unexpectedly and stories can develop out of no-where. I don't think I'd be half as good as I am now (how ever good that maybe be) without that back ground.
