I actually do want to write another Trust Issues chapter first, but after that, I’ll be writing another chapter for Sonia story :)
Chapter 33 of Trust Issues is finally out! I was doing a lot of writing these last few days to get this out in time for Sayaka’s birthday, it’s currently like 5 AM as I’m writing this lol

On a real note though, I was kinda expecting it to get delayed. It’s been months since the announcement and there’s been next to nothing about the development in that time. I know they’re not obligated to give us anything, but like, they barely even mentioned the game besides the fact that pre orders had started and that the entire english cast was returning.
I’m also not too upset about it. I honestly don’t have money to spend on it right now anyways so this’ll give me time to set some money aside for the game. Plus it’s better that they take their time with it rather than rush it
One last thing, I’ve been making some good progress on Chapter 33 for Trust Issues and hope to get it released on the 7th cuz that’s Sayaka’s birthday. If I somehow miss the date I’m gonna quit

@Kamenrider0856 Hmm, probably not. I already said I don’t want to add more than necessary, and I don’t really see a reason to add them to RR. I just don’t have anything left to do with them because I feel satisfied with how it ended… However, seeing as it’s been a year, I’ve thought about maybe going back to write a short epilogue. Maybe two or three years after the events of ROTI, just to sorta add a neat little bow to their story :)

@TheFancyPigeon Those are some good choices. My favorites in Total Drama Island, Action and World Tour are Lindsey, Izzy, Bridgette, Gwen and Leshawna. For Total Drama Revenge of the Island: Dawn, Zoey and Anne Maria. Total Drama All-Stars: Zoey, Lindsey and Gwen. Total Drama Pahkitew Island: Jasmine, Ella, Sammy, Sky and Scarlet. The Ridoncoulous Race: Kitty, Crimson, Carrie, Emma and Jen. And for the Reboot: Scary Girl, Priya, Nichelle, Axel and Emma. Also Dawn is my favorite!
@SkyWindingo From Island and Action it’s Izzy and Heather, but Heather takes the crown in World Tour. In Revenge of the island it’s Dawn, and in All Stars it’s Heather once again. In Pahkitew Island it’s either Ella or Sammy. In RR it’s Crimson. AND BONUS!! Scary Girl is my favorite from the reboot! Either Dawn or Heather wins for my overall favorite :))

It’s nearly 14k words, that’s a lot of words! I planned to cut the chapter in half, since it was too long, and I wanted to get the chapter out earlier, but chose to keep everything there. So now I gotta ask, are you guys okay with chapters being this long? Specifically daily life chapters. I wanna know :)

Where will I go when I finish writing Danganronpa stories?
I know it’s like super early to be asking myself that, but it was just a thought I had. I’m nowhere near done with Danganronpa, but when I’ve written all I wanted, then what? An Aqua x Male Reader story that I promised like a year ago comes to mind. It’ll come when it comes. I also planned to do Omori, and I still do, but… I’m a bit iffy on it right now. I also have had ideas on Digital Circus story, with the show now concluded, and maybe I’ll write that. Then there’s also the idea I had for Ella from Pahkitew Island. No clue when or if I’ll get started on that.
I don’t think I really need to worry about running out of Danganronpa books any time soon though. As I said, I’m nowhere near done. Trust Issues, For All I’m Not, and Healing Process are all still going on. And I have plans for a V3 story already, but that won’t start writing until I at least finish Trust Issues.
I also thought it’d be kinda fun to write two stories for V3, since I wrote two for Goodbye Despair, and I like to give people options. And since we’re on the topic, maybe I’ll go back to THH and write an x male reader story for another girl there. It’s prob gonna be Kyoko or Celeste. What yall think of that?

Why am I worried about running out of Danganronpa? I’ve got a ton waiting to be written, and I just gave myself more work, we’re good until the end of time with how slow I update lol
Oh, and if you want progress on Healing Process Chapter 4, it’s almost done. I very much missed my original release, so I won’t promise anything this time. And I really need to stop making promises for releases unless I’m 100% sure I’ll be done. Chapter 4 comes out when it comes out

@RicardoMiddlePM Yeah, I was considering Kyoko, but I feel she gets more than enough love in the fanfic department, and just the fandom in general. Time to give my favorite gambler some love! Although, I have considered writing a non despair au story for Kyoko. Maybe that’ll happen, who knows!

I did at one point write a chapter with 7k words, I even have an unpublished one nearly 10k words long now, probably gonna scrap it or take pieces of it though considering what I ended up doing for the story instead XD. But yeah, Danganronpa's definitely one of those stories where a lot of writings needed. Class Trials, Investigations... Monokuma... BP
@RicardoMiddlePM Yeah it really just comes down with what you’re comfortable with I think. I started out with 3k to 5k words and eventually began to gravitate towards at least 7k per chapter. Though, that was partly cuz Danganronpa, being as long as it is, had me writing more than usual -w- I’d say just write as much as you think is necessary. It’s your story, you get to pick how long it should be. I will say tho that 5k is a pretty good place to be at :)
@TheFancyPigeon I often wonder how long some chapters should be myself, but I’ve often just stuck with around 5k words XD. The only reason I’d go below or above is if I come up with more or less ideas, and I think it’s worked out! B)
At what point does Y/N go from being a reader insert to an OC? Take the Y/N from Trust Issues. Idk if he still feels like a male reader insert to readers. When you guys read it, do you see yourselves in him? Do you see yourself saying the dialogue? Performing the actions? Thinking his thoughts?
Or do you see something that’s not you? Something that strayed too far from being an insert. I don’t wanna say he’s an OC, cuz I don’t think he is. If he was an OC, I’d be able to picture what he looks like, but I can’t. When I picture Y/N, I don’t see anything. No face, no distinct clothing style, no name, nothing. He’s a blank template with a personality. So what does that make him?
Idk. Just a random thought I had. Trust Issues Chapter 33 will hopefully come within this millennium. I want to slap myself for not making much progress in the past month.
Also, a happy early birthday to Mikan Tsumiki. I would’ve wanted to get a chapter out for her birthday, but given how much I’ve procrastinated, it’s unlikely it’ll come out in time. Never say never though. I may get a random burst of energy and work from 10 AM to 4AM.
@Screechable I could try leaning further into making them original. I still do want to avoid adding too much so the reader immersion doesn’t break, but I’ll definitely try being more open to adding a few littler details to make the insert feel more apart of the world (Healing Process will especially get a lot more) I appreciate the feedback, compliments, and the reassurance that you’ll continue to read, thank you :)
@TheFancyPigeon I personally don't see (Y/N) as me but I still love the way you’re approaching everything so far. Reading Healing Process was such a refreshing experience because (Y/N) genuinely felt different from the usual inserts (gardener and taxidermist are still awesome though). They felt natural within the source material while still bringing something new and memorable to the story. That’s actually one of the things I like the most about your writing because your inserts still feel like they belong in the canon, but they also have their own identity and presence. IMO, I think you could lean even further into making them more original without losing any of the charm. More than anything, though, I just want you to know that I’ll keep reading and loving your works no matter which direction you choose. Your storytelling, character writing, and the atmosphere you create are already great! :)
