I am retired from California State University, Chico and now reside in a small  mountain community in Northern California.  I have an earned degree in Behavioral and Social Sciences. I have been a volunteer counselor for Rape Crisis and have since been actively involved in my Church's community  fund raising efforts. My husband and I are long term contributors to our local animal shelters and the SPCA (Society for Prevention of Cruelty to Animals). This summer we wrote and published a book about "Odd Otis", a found blind and deaf Australian Shepherd mix who unexpectedly crossed our paths and led to our reinvention.
