I created a short story about you and Luffy meeting, and I hope you like it! This would happen at the end of a chapter. A/n
"Hello, I hope you liked the chapter and can handle the anxiety until the next cha—"
BAM!
The studio door was thrown open.
Luffy invaded the place like a hurricane, pushing the author to the side. The wheeled chair slid across the floor getting away from the desk while he leaned over the notebook, curious. Without meaning to, he pressed a button and that same strange noise he had heard before invading the place. And like that accidentally he turned on the camera feeling that there were people watching what he was doing now he slowly turned his face, staring directly at the readers, with a mischievous smile forming.
Meanwhile, the author, still thrown on the chair, completely stunned, could only watch.
"...here goes a small spoiler for the next chapter!" he said, excited "There will be information about—"
"LUFFY!"
The author practically resurrected from the state of shock.
"No spoilers! Like this I won’t be able to enjoy the readers’ reaction! besides... HOW did you get here?!"
Luffy scratched his head, smiling.
"Ah, it was like this..."
Flashback.
Luffy had separated from the crew, walking with no direction until he saw... a strange wall, very strange even for him then feeling the smell of adventure. He decided to touch it not worrying about what could happen in the moment he touched it his hand was pulled his entire body was sucked through the wall, as if it was made of water, and in the next instant he fell inside an unknown room, in front of him, a bed and on top of it... a small rectangular and black object. Luffy picked it up, it was too smooth. Too light. Cold like stone..., but it didn’t look like stone.
Someone knocked on the door. She froze. Her heart racing "...if it is another character..."
Silence.
"...I am not ready."
END
Sorry if it got too long, I might have gotten a little carried away. I hope you like it.
"...did I?" She ran to the mirror. Looked fixed at herself. "You look normal." Pause. "...that is what a person who lost sanity would say." She stepped back slowly. "...ok, this is getting worse, calm. Calm. This escalated too fast." Sat on the bed again.
"Ok. Ok. Maybe I am not God... maybe I am like... a narrative entity... a cosmic force... a—"
She stopped.
"...or maybe I am just a fucked up person writing fanfic at 3 in the morning." Silence. "...yeah, that seems more likely." She threw herself on the bed. "Man... I gave food to Luffy..." Turned her face to the side. "...I am broke."
Another silence.
"...and what if..." She swallowed dry. "...I am also a character?"
Total silence.
Her breathing got shorter. "...and what if... someone... is writing me now?"
She slowly turned her head. As if expecting to see something behind her.
Nothing.
The phone vibrated. She screamed. "AH! SON OF A—"
Slowly, she turned her head picking the phone in her hand looking at the screen. A new notification from Wattpad.
"Chapter updated automatically."
"...I didn’t write this part yet." With a trembling hand, she opened the file. And there it was. New lines.
Back to Luffy
"LUFFY!!!" Nami shouted, furious. "Where were you?!"
"Shishishi! I went to another world!"
Silence.
"...I-Is this another God thing?," said Usopp.
"No, not that I remember" Luffy answered the last part in a whisper that nobody heard. "There was a strange woman... and a magic stone that shines!"
Robin placed her hand on her chin, interested. "A parallel dimension, perhaps..."
Silence.
Everyone looked.
"..."
"..."
"...huh?"
Back to the room
The author stared at the screen, pale. "...they... are talking about me."
The screen blinked. And, slowly... A new line started to be written by itself:
"And maybe... it wasn’t only Luffy who crossed that wall."
She swallowed dry.
"...no... no, no, no—"
KNOCK KNOCK
"...yeah, like that." She smiled. "Well I believe that for you to go back you just have to touch the screen and you will be able to go back to your crew" and that was exactly what he did, without hesitating and being pulled again but this time without fighting disappearing as if he had never been there.
Five minutes of absolute silence.
The author was still standing in the middle of the room. The gaze fixed on nothing. The phone still in hand extended the screen already off, allowing herself to freak out a little, right nothing too much who never had a small mental breakdown before?
"..."
"...HOLY SHIT." The voice came out weak. She fell sitting on the bed, slowly, as if the body had given up before the mind which may have happened.
"Ok... ok... let’s go... let’s analyze this calmly..." Breathing deeply afraid of already forgetting how. She raised a finger, shaking.
"Option one: I am hallucinating."
Another finger.
"Option two: I finally lost my sanity after 72 hours of lack of sleep and too much coffee which honestly can happen."
Third finger.
"Option three..."
Silence. She stared at her own hand.
"...I HUGGED Luffy." The brain seemed to freeze. "I HUGGED LUFFY." She stood up in a jump. "THIS IS NOT NORMAL!"
"I walked? I walked. I talked? I talked. I touched? I touched. It was physical. IT WAS PHYSICAL!" She started to walk from one side to another, pulling her own hair. "How many laws of physics does this break? How many? Because I am sure that it is several!"
She stopped walking in the middle of the room. Took a deep breath again. Slowly turned to the phone that was on the bed still totally forgotten in the meantime.
"...if this is real..." She swallowed dry. "...then... I am..." Dramatic silence. "...GOD?"
"No." She laughed a short laugh. Forced. "No, no, no, no... this is absurd. This is thing of people who already lost sanity." She pointed to her own head. "I DID NOT LOSE SANITY."
Silence.
