I just experienced excitement over a real life boy for the first time. Not near a crush but HE CALLED ME MA'AM???

I haven't talked with him in maybe MONTHS because I changed schools but today I saw a reel that reminded me of him (it was a reel that called him old coz he doesn't know the meanings of may slang words and he keeps using them wrong) so I sent him the reel.
He replies back and says: "Ma'am, I don't have insta."
Maybe I'm reading too much into this but it felt good.
And then the conversation went on, we started talking abou twho got better marks in Chemistry and Physics, we talked about emojis.
I even told him about gossip I knew from my old school, and we had a little I knew what he was gonna say and we sent the same message at the same time moment.
And then he went all "YOu read me like a book"
And it happened againa dn this time he was like "I read you like a book"
AGHGHHHH
And then he called me ma'am again when I taught him new slang.
But yeah... That's it. I probably wont talk to him for another month coz if I do, what if he gets the wrong idea and thinks I like him?
Then he tells his friends who are my friends too and they think I'm stupid and crazy.
But thats all for the rant.
