I can explain it to you how I did it. 
          
          8x = 4 (Finding the value of the variable "X")
          
          First eliminate 8 by 8 itself doing a fraction and of course you'll have to add another 8 for 4.
          
          8x/8 = 4 "Cancel both 8 and will be left is the variable "X".
          
          Now divide 4 and 8. The answer is 2 because 4×2 is 8.
          
          X = 2.
          
          Did I explain it properly?

@FakeWriterU I Hate to disappoint you but my math teacher and my classmate said that the answer is 1/2. I told my classmate to explain it to me but i didn't understand so we chatted our teacher for help then he said the asnwer is 1/2. Sorry for mistaking you.....
