          Just a quick update — I'm taking a short break. Life has been unusually busy lately, but I'll be back with regular uploads (twice a week) after July 1st, 2026.

          This week was rough at work, but I somehow found the time to write. Planning to get more writing done this weekend (｡•̀ᴗ-)✧

          …And apparently Chapter 14 has been out for a while already and I completely forgot to post about it, haha.

          Kyle finally turned eighteen.
          
          A small, quiet birthday. Pizza boxes, beer cans, candlelight, awkward smiles — and feelings he still doesn’t quite know what to do with.
          
          I really hope you’ll enjoy this chapter as much as I enjoyed writing it

          chapter 11 is finally out!
          
          there’s a pretty big shift in this one — the tension between Darren and Kyle is starting to grow stronger, and some things are becoming a little harder to ignore.
          
          I’m also slowly rewriting and continuing the next chapters in the new style/tone I mentioned before. Hopefully I’ll be able to post more updates next week

          As I kept writing, I realized something about the tone didn’t quite feel right — so I went back and rewrote them to better reflect the direction I want this story to take.
          
          It feels closer to what I had in mind now.
