Amariah Dixon was born and raised in the small southern town of Carrollton, Georgia. The fourth of five children, she grew up in a home filled with books and the sounds of laughter and music, encircled by an enchanting hardwood forest. A safe haven where her imagination could run wild - and did. 

Being a natural-born storyteller herself, Amariah delighted in the books read to her by her mother as a child. As soon as she learned to read and write, she began to commit her own stories to paper, accompanied by her own fanciful illustrations. Long, tall tales of fairies and elves and magic at every turn.

Having traveled around the country with her large family from the time she was born, Amariah draws inspiration for the settings of her stories not only from her immediate surroundings, but also from all the other beauties and wonders she has seen and experienced throughout her life.

"How the Magic Began - The Star" is Amariah's first book.
