If I see one more Sire Daddy from the Vampires SMP fandom I’m going to have an aneurysm.

TheMysteryOrigins

Finally gonna start playing Zzz. And I’m working to overcome my depression(yes I discussed with my therapist and I’m definitely depressed af. Big big explanation for my lack of motivation to write and draw and do anything really). So hopefully I can get some inspiration and motivation and dish out some fanfics. Also working on a story project that’s going to be a secret for now until I finish writing a few chapters first…though any Itsfunneh fans might be interested.

Plz let me know what fanfic you most want to see updated right now and I’ll up it’s priority on my to do list. the pending requested oneshots are also high priority, and sorry to the requesters for my lack of writing.

TheMysteryOrigins

Been reading Teyvat Academy x MHA fanfics recently and considering if I should do my own. The one thing is that while I’m interested in Genshin fanfic writing, I’m not as much interested in MHA fanfic writing…but I would make it take place in Teyvat of course(except for probably the beginning parts) and because of the Au, I feel like I can get away with making the MHA characters ooc. And if you want more context to this Au, it’s the particular one where Teyvat and the MHA world basically share a world or are connected via some sort of portal, taking place after the main drama of Teyvat is over and basically Teyvat then becomes known to the MHA world and the MHa world becomes known to Teyvat. The problem is that the MhA world thinks that Teyvat Academy is an abusive cult that kidnaps quirkless people from the MhA world and brainwashes them, so the MhA 1A students are tasked with infiltrating to save the students/get enough proof of a crime to take Teyvat Academy to court.

TheMysteryOrigins

Kinda annoys me like in those Gacha ā€˜MhA in my house’ videos where the MHa characters appear in a random house and immediately just attack/capture the owner of the house…like they live in world of teleportation quirks and also apparently don’t have the brains to think that oh, they’re in a normal house and no one’s around so maybe just maybe this wasn’t an intentional teleportation or maybe it was a villain that sent us to a random place that happened to be in a house. Like…I’d like to think at least in canon that these characters wouldn’t be that dumb seeing as they’re meant to be hero’s and all…

I also give more credit to the students because they’re young, although for the teachers…less given to them, especially Nezu who is supposed to be smart. ._.

There’s also one of the stories where the hero’s literally kidnapped Teyvatian vision holders and took their visions away, which as Inazuma has taught us, only hurts them. Like…from the perspective of the reader it’s crazy to me how they cannot see what’s wrong with this behavior. But, from their perspective they think the visions are just like a way to manipulate the people or something like that and they’re just trying to save people. They fail to understand things and that’s normal…what isn’t so normal is the fact that they seem to just not want to understand. At least in one fanfic Teyvat tried to explain its rich history and stuff and that somehow only worsened the rumors of TA being a cult. Like…bruh. It annoys be so much and I just hope that later in these stories I can see some change in the UA people.

TheMysteryOrigins

I give some benefit of the doubt because the UA people already have the preconceived notion that TA is a cult, so of course instead of thinking of the actual reasons behind things that are completely normal, they consider reasons that somewhat make sense and also fit into the narrative that TA is a cult.

They are well meaning in these(well maybe except for Bakugo, he’s just a bully), wanting to save the people they think are in trouble, despite knowing that they’re going into ā€˜enemy territory’ surrounded by ā€˜enemies’. They also don’t generally believe the students to be villains, just the people in charge and like the gods and stuff.

Sometimes I wonder if I’m having mood swings or if I’m too quick to get emotional…some of it, at least the irritability can certainly be attributed to lack of sleep…some of my irritability is mostly fixed at my family though and that’s added onto by the fact that I live with them and we’re all a least a little neurodivergent in some of the worst social ways…

I was also looking up causes to mood swings and Google Ai said cultural background could play a role in mood swings…it also said age and genetics which could make sense if it’s caused by hormones or a certain medical condition…but cultural background? Well actually…maybe, because I do think that me and my sister at least somewhat get our anger issues from our dad…so maybe it’s not too strange to think that the way someone is raised could affect whether or not they have mood swings…like if they were in a calm environment they might have less moodswings as I imagine they would be a more calm person. I on the other hand have anxiety and a father that likes to spontaneously play fight with me regardless of it I say something hurts(usually not that much but enough to bother me) or just that I don’t want to be involved in it…so maybe mood swings could be at least partially caused by how I grew up…don’t think it’s exactly a cultural thing but I’lll be real that I don’t think your typical idea of what culture is is a huge part of my life…

TheMysteryOrigins

Like in Genshin, I heard the new cactus boss was being called out as ā€˜offensive’ by white people and then the actually people of the culture were like ā€˜wow we love this’. Like, I cannot speak on behalf of another race or culture as to what is offensive to them and neither can you or anyone…I do try my best to avoid what I think MIGHT be offensive, because one of my crippling fears is accidentally offending a community of people.

How did this go from wondering if I was having moodswings to what is and isn’t culturally offensive?

Food maybe? But like, I also enjoy lot’s of different foods. Of course to some degree I’m sure that a lot of the food from other countries I’d had have been Americanized or something. Like I think Taco Bell is like that, I like Taco Bell, but I don’t think it’s authentic Mexican (or is taco’s specifically Mexican or is it Hispanic? Is Hispanic the right word? I heard somewhere that Hispanic was offensive now…or maybe it was Latino/latina that was offensive? Idk, it also could have just been a white person bulshitting. Can’t tell if the person speaking is an actual representative of the culture or just a white person trying to be a hero and failing miserably. Still good though…

By that I mean, when I think of culture I think things like religious rituals, dances, music. Well I guess I go like to dance a bit randomly and I do like to sing; but I listen to songs from all over the world, not just where I live. And I never believed in Christianity despite going to church as a kid…and even know that I have proclaimed myself a polytheist, I don’t do any celebrations in regards to that(partially because I feel like it may be offense to those cultures. Like if I started performing like miniature Greek festivals or something as a white Caucasian, that feels like it would be offensive…though I do occasionally name specific god’s in certain scenarios…while I believe in it, it’s kind of like not the biggest thing in my life. Like if my religion was proven false, it would not be a major change in my life, as I would still enjoy researching the myths which is mostly what I do

It annoys me when someone assumes something is Ai. Like, it can’t be a mistake, it has to be Ai or cheating. Or in my specific case, Google translate.

I was so pissed off when I was threatened with a Zero on an assignment in my Japanese class, because I made a mistake on the translations(it was a lot of similarly built sentences and I essentially made the same mistake on most if not all of them), btw she didn’t actually tell me what the mistake was, I did have to guess. She just accused me of using google translate and I had to redo the assignment in order to not get a zero. And that pissed me off because why did she assume I cheated when I literally just was dumb and made a mistake? Btw, I did see what the google translation of my sentence would have been, and it was not what I wrote. It was ridiculous and I’m still holding a grudge.

Anyways, if you see something that is not perfect, don’t immediately claim it to be Ai, as it could just be a simple human mistake, whether it’s word’s or a drawing. (Of course some things are obviously Ai in a way I can’t describe, but just know that a mistake does not necessarily equal AI) please and thank you.

Writing my Oc lore has been a great idea. Like, for Aenon, I already had the idea of keeping her card relayed by making her a fortune teller using Tarot cards. (Got the idea from the Shadow x Amy ship song, Guns & Roses). Like, originally she was a yugioh oc(or more specifically, boars Minecraft yugioh roleplays). But, since aside from the Digimon and Ninjago oc’s(made to honor my childhood), I decided to make all of my Oc’s original to my world. And with that comes some tough decisions on how to change their lore so that they are original. For Aenon and her brother, I could make them play some made up tcg game. But, having a main part of their lore being a made up tcg game without an explanation of the game, just doesn’t seem right. And let me be honest, I can’t even understand how to play any tcg games, much less make one up.

10 divisions: with added explanation of I think it’s necessary.

            Oceans Crew

Protectors of Nature(protects nature and helps it heal after missions that cause it to be damaged)

            League of Assassins

            Intelligence Network

Knights of Words(basically politicians. Tries to solve problems through talking it out if possible).

Army of Inmortals(Basically where anyone that’s a fighter and doesn’t fit with a different division goes).

Clean Up Crew(gets rid of evidence of any crimes committed, and forges id’s to allow smooth assimilation into the worlds where their missions take place, especially worlds that are unaware of things like inter-dimensional travel)

Watchers(The strategists, as well as the ones that make sure the strategic plans go smoothly, and make sure contact between members of the Court is smooth.)

Makers(makes anything from weapons to paintings. Responsible for providing weaponry and supplies to the missions).

            Performers of the Night(already explained)

So, all of these make sense, but except for Oceans Crew. But I was set on making 10 Divisions, I just can’t seem to think of a 10th one that makes, well, sense.

My sister also pointed out that when it comes to the division, I have to consider what it is exactly that each division does. In truth, we came up with a specific purpose, even for the 10th division, Performer’s of the Night(works as distractions, morale, gaining support of civilians, and infiltration.) but, the only one that doesn’t make sense is the 1st division, Oceans Crew. Well, it makes sense because it’s a group made up of all the ocean-related characters. Sure. But, when it comes to this divisions role in the missions to keep the balance across universes, just saying that their job is to protect the oceans, seems too limited, unlike the rest. Especially since not all worlds may even have an ocean. And you could also say that protecting the oceans falls under The Protectors of Nature’s job description.

But basically, writing down my oc’s lore is tiring with how many oc’s I have. But, not only does it serve to finalize the lore, but it also serves to help me realize missing pieces of the lore, as well as things that I can add to the lore.

Why do they pretty much only give us the ages of the characters in Star Rail and Genshin if they’re like hundreds of years old? Like, I want to know how old freaking old Chongyun is, but I can’t tell. Because, you can’t logic it. You can’t logic that they have to be an adult due to their job, because one, depending on the place, you can be as old as 14 to work. Also, drinking may not even be a clear sign either, though I don’t know of any place that lets anyone under 18 drink, they still could be older. And heck,I’m Genshin we have an actual confirmed child working as a bartender!!! I don’t even know if that’s legal anywhere in the real world.

TheMysteryOrigins

I personally see these characters as adults. 19+. All I ask is that Hoyo confirm that they’re adults in a clear way that can’t be argued. Because we don’t want creepy situations, or people being accused of shipping a minor with an adult when that may not even be the case. Same goes for Star Rail Characters.

Side note: Let me know what you think. Do you think that when a characters birthday passes in real life, they actually grow older in the canon? For example, say that Chongyun was 19 when we meet him in game, and since then I think maybe three of his birthdays have passed. In real time, that would make him 22. I guess this also ties in with how long you think the story of Genshin Impact has taken? Is the time span of the game equivalent to the time the game has been out? Or is it longer, or shorter?

To some degree, I get it. It is not an unknown concept to me that young appearances are considered more beautiful, and Hoyo wants to make beautiful characters that will sell well. But, to me, this just feels like unnecessary controversy in the community. I meant just state that they’re adults at least and it’d be fine. Take the ship of Chongyun and Xiao for example. I personally think they’d make a good duo romantically or platonically, but there are people that ship these characters romantically. However, some other see Chongyun as being a character under the age of 18, and considering the fact he would then be a minor in a relationship with a thousands of years old guy, that gets creepy. (Personally don’t mind age gap, as long as all parties are at least 18, preferably 19 at the least since 18 is still kinda too close to being a minor. Of course, even if Chongyun was confirmed an adult, there would still be people that don’t like the ship due to age gap, but that’s just normal.* Meanwhile, leaving the age up to people’s own headcanons, can cause more clashes in the community.

Basically, I bring this up due to certain shorter characters appearances. For some, like Xiao, we know he was around during the Archon War, making him really old, despite the fact that based on appearances, it is unclear if he is below or above 18. It’s like that borderline appearance. Take me irl for example, I am a full on adult, but I’m around the same height as these characters in Genshin and have a young face like them, so I’m mistaken for being under 18, despite being over 18 years old. I feel like this may be a problem, because it gets into creep territory. The thing is, you could say that these characters or 16 or 17, or you could say that they are 18 or 19. Or, idk how accurate it is, but I’ve seen people say that Cyno is around 21, but he looks the same age as all these other characters, so does that mean that the other characters are about 21 as well?
