Just an idea, but maybe the Prequel characters as cards? Like the cards each represent something like, and then the main series characters have to use them for something?

@TheNextSchoolMaster I guess maybe the cards could represent different things based on their lives, and they would be used by the main characters for the future,or to have a special power. And maybe the souls of the Prequel characters are in the cards, waiting to be free.
