@CottonJones - Not to my knowledge, no. If you happen to pass away then according to that help page, your profile will remain as it has content on it. Only the blank profiles appear to be being removed. And removal of those unused profiles would explain why follower numbers have dropped. 
            
            As for why your friend Gail is no longer following you several times, that one I can't explain, and that sounds like a glitch to me and I'd suggest reporting it in to Wattpad's Support team via the Help pages. 
            
            As for your last question, as far as I'm aware, there are no plans to remove profiles that have content on them, that's something stated in that article. I can't really say more than that I'm afraid as the future is an unknown.

@TheOrangutan So, if I die my poetry eventually is deleted? Unless all this happened within the last week it doesn't explain to me the sudden drop of thousands of my followers. For example Gail Runschke has found that she is no longer following me several times and it is not an action she has made. She refollows me and then awhile later she finds out she is no longer following me. Is this a new policy? I understand dead accounts, but don't understand poets I know finding they no longer follow me. Thanks for the link to the site it helps a bit but I'm not happy that every morning when I wake up another 500 plus people are no longer following me. Is there way to make sure my poetry enshrined as a memorial after my death?

            There's an article here on the Help pages that may explain the issue - https://support.wattpad.com/hc/en-us/articles/32301286166804-Closing-accounts-of-inactive-users - and I'm losing followers too. 
            
            So, I suspect it's the inactive / dormant users being removed that is affecting follower count, and for those of us who've been around for a fair few years we're probably seeing older accounts being removed.

            When I see a video on YouTube which has millions of views that I don't get I simply scroll down my dear friend. 
            
            
            Because youtube doesn't force feed me same 10 videos through out the whole year hence I move on. 
            
            
            My point was not about deserving & non deserving
            
            the real issue was seeing the same set of books everyday through permutations & combinations. 
            
            
            I just had a wish of seeing a fresh set of books atleast once a week irrespective of deserving non deserving, horrible brilliant, bad good whatever genre. 
            
            Anyways my bad, it's all my fault that I even raised this issue. 
            
            From now on I'm going to search

@Tannishhthaa - Wattpad is all about the story, and 'story' is the atomic unit of what makes Wattpad tick. 
            
            Many people are learning as they go, and that's fine, but I've seen some stories on Wattpad that people absolutely adore simply because the story is just good, or appeals to them. How many vids have you seen on YouTube that have millions of views that you just don't get? But people like it for some reason. And that's the same on Wattpad. If people like something, they'll read it, and vote for it, and they will not care that you think it's horribly written and doesn't 'deserve' to be place in the Top 10. 
            
            The Top 10 is what it is, the Top 10 stories that Wattpad readers like. You're allowed to disagree with it, but if you do, you have the option and ability to search for stuff you do want to read.

            But I kinda disagree with the deserving part, because I don't think writers with horrible grammar, zero sense of sentence formation, lack of depth in even writing a proper syntax, DESERVE the rank no matter what genre they write,
            
             I'm not into fantasy at all but if I see an author having good writing skills makes a mark there I'll be so happy irrespective of the fact that I absolutely dislike fantasy genre. 
            
            
            Also disagree with the vast majority of people reading that book because books with 6 chaps and 10 k reads are also trending that's not what we call being read by vast majority. 
            
            I know search bar exists but I just hoped that
            
            I will get to see new fresh books everyday written by variety of writers on the top 10 irrespective of genres, my likes, my dislikes. 
            
            But Alas I just keep on seeing 10 books written by those same 10 writers since 1 year.
