Hello everyone! I am delighted to announce that my 2023 ONC entry Devour is set to launch on November 14th! The e-book is now available for pre-order on Amazon! If you'd like to check it out, the link is in my bio ^.^

Thank you to everyone who read the novel and has supported me here on Wattpad. I truly appreciate it.

Special thanks to @amaryll28 for all of your help and support throughout this process since the very beginning.

Also, thank you to @Ostromn, @jordynsaelor and @Olvaaarrdd for reading and your feedback during the ONC.

This also means that my other novels, such as Creature of Creation, Double Edge and Glass Pomegranate have also found a home. I'll be working on getting them polished and ready for publication in the future ^.^

Has anyone tried Scrivner? I'm really enjoying it so far! It's nice to have a software that actually aligns with the way my brain likes to structure and visualize information.

TheQueenofGremlins

@amaryll28 i think in that case, it might be a good fit for you. You can also add keywords into the Metadata so even if it's a bit scattered, you can use that to link documents together. You can also have a separate research section too that's compatible with images, audio and video too! I don't download music so much these days (thanks to Spotify lol) but I think it's cool there's the option to attach a Playlist right in there. I hope you enjoy it if you do get the chance to try! :) thanks! ^.^

@TheQueenofGremlins That's really good to know! I love the idea of not having to tab between documents and having research in one place. I have folders for each project with so many random notes in them and it's always a surprise to me when I check through ahaha. I might give it a go down the line! :D I'm glad it's been so good so far!!

@amaryll28 i would absolutely say it's worth it. To be fair i got it as a gift but it's a one time fee, not a subscription like other software can be. It does have a learning curve but I'm pretty tech challenged and have been able to figure it out alright after the tutorial and there's also an extensive manual. It's kinda similar to photoshop but for writing if that makes sense lol. I love to outline and break things down and this way I don't have to switch back and forth through docs or tabs in docs, it can lay it all out with the corkboard feature and also the split screen. You can also store research all in the same project including docs on the hard drive. Sorry, I'm just totally nerding out over it haha I suppose the novelty hasn't worn off yet lol there's a free trial option as well if you'd want to try before commitment.

What are everyone's thoughts on immortality as it's explored in media? (Literature, shows, movies, games ect.) We've seen it be a blessing and a curse and everything in between.

I'm curious to hear what you think. Are there avenues you wish were explored more? Elements that are overdone? Do you hate or love to see it in a story at all?

Personally, I love to explore immortality and have been enjoying taking the angle of not "came back wrong" but rather "came back exactly the same."

I've recently done an edit of Glass Pomegranate and republished the chapters. Apologies if anyone was spammed with notifications.

If anyone has read chapters 1 - 10 there's no need to revisit them as the changes won't affect plot at all. Chapters 11 onward had some edits to tighten character development and clarification but aren't entirely necessary to reread either.

Thank you to everyone reading so far :) I've scheduled Glass Pomegranate to post every Monday, Wednesday and Friday from now on. The final chapter will be up on September 22nd.

I hope you all have a great day!

I have finally completed the off-line draft of Glass Pomegranate Vol I. It's finished up at fifty-Seven chapters. I'm not sure what to make of it yet tbh haha Have you guys ever finished a draft and were like wtf is this?? haha I've had a lot of fun writing it and I'm glad there's three more stories to come in the series because though I feel vol I is finally where I want it plot wise, I'm not done with the world or characters yet, that's for sure. This is hands down my favorite piece of work I've created. It's by no means perfect, but it was fun (even though it gets heavy sometimes) and I hope you guys like it too.

I'm planning to start regular uploads again on Monday. A chapter should be coming out Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. I hope you all enjoy it.

TheQueenofGremlins

Thank you to everyone checking out Glass Pomegranate. I'm taking a short hiatus on posting so I can focus on completing the offline-draft. I'm currently on chapter 52 out of 57 planned chapters, so I'm nearly there!

As I've stated before Sleep Token has been a huge inspiration during the writing process. So I've compiled a Sleep Token only Glass Pomegranate playlist. Eventually, I'll post the general playlists as well.

For anyone interested, here are the Sleep Token songs I've felt are most suited to certain characters and their relationships. Though I've left out a bunch that mainly suited the general story in favor of specificity and brevity.

          Angel
          "When The Party's Over"
          "Dark Signs"
          "The Love You Want"
          "Damocles"
          "Look To Windward"
          "Pastself"
          "Even In Arcadia"
          "Infinite Baths"

          Angel and Nyx
          "Blood Sport"
          "Granite"
          "Ascensionism"
          "Gethsemane"

          Kismet and Angel
          "Alkaline"
          "Give"
          "Rain"
          "Sugar"
          "Mine"
          "Provider"
          "Dangerous"
          "Emergence"

          Caroline and Angel
          "Nazareth"

Unfortunately, I don't have any Sleep Token songs picked out for Kismet or Nyx individually, though they both have plenty of songs by other artists on their playlists. Are you guys interested in seeing the full playlists posted at some point?

I hope you're all having a great summer so far! Hopefully I will be back with more chapters and a finished draft shortly ^.^

Does anyone like to write to music? I've found music plays such a huge role in my writing process. For actively writing, I usually choose something instrumental that suits the vibe, but in general, I like to make Playlists for stories and individual characters. Even though Glass Pomegranate has a pseudo- 90s/ early 2000s aesthetic, I've found Sleep Token to be a huge inspiration. I love them in general, they're my favorite band, but I've found their songs to be perfectly matched to the characters and themes im working with at the moment.

Sometimes if I'm stuck on plot or character motivation, I'll pick songs and meditate to them to figure it out. A fun game i like to try is putting songs on shuffle and picking a character at random to line it up to. Even if it doesn't match, it can be kinda funny when it's totally incongruent. Either way, it gets the gears turning.

Do you guys have an artist or genre that you prefer to write to? What role does music play in your process?

If anyone would like to see a Glass Pomegranate Playlist or which songs I've assigned the characters and dynamics, I'd be happy to share.

@TheQueenofGremlins || Exactly, every story/chapter might need something a little different, and regardless, at least for me, I find myself switching up what music I'm listening to pretty frequently to find the right 'vibe' or feel for the time

@TheQueenofGremlins Mmm definitely! It's a good film, I really recommend it, I wasn't so sure going in (I didn't enjoy the last couple of marvel films I went to see) but I actually really enjoyed it. Honestly the soundtrack is giving me like avengers but more low key and not in such a heroic key, maybe a bit spy-ish, definitely darker vibes. It has very strong through-lines between tracks too which is cool. The tagline is 'not super, not heroes, not giving up' and honestly I think that encompasses the ost pretty well as well as the film!
            That'd be awesome!
