Hi guys! I recently moved. In light of this, please be advised that I might have to push back “What She Found “‘s release. On the bright side, here’s another excerpt!

"I-I uh.." He rung his hands nervously, then ran them through his hair. "I wa-wanted to apologize... f-for earlier."
"Oh, that?" She blew a strand of hair out of her eyes. Placing her hands flat on the counter, she met his eyes. "Already forgiven and forgotten. I don't care about the small stuff." The vampire bit her lip.
"I-I just h-have a l-lot on my p-plate." It felt dumb. It felt like a lie, the way the words fell from his lips. Ayden looked back at Puck, thinking he'd pick up on the mummy's weak tone, but he wasn't paying attention. Ayden turned back to Olivia. "I-I don't h-hate you, if-if that's wha-what you're t-thinking."
Olivia's eyes widened. "I wasn't thinking that."
"I-I'm just n-not g-good at ma-making friends." Ayden looked away when he said this, too shy to look at her anymore.
"Can I be your friend?"
"I-I-"
"Wow, you can practically feel the sexual tension brewing up in here." Ayden jumped and whirled around at Puck, who burst out laughing. "All jokes, my good friend." Olivia looked mortified. They both watched as Puck made his way to the storage closet to put the broom and rag away. "You don't need to worry, 'Liv," he was saying. "Ayden and I are a packaged deal. You befriend one of us, you befriend both of us. Thick as thieves, we'll be. Now all that's left for us to do-" he shut the closet and faced them both of them, grinning. "is for us to discuss our tastes in erotica."
Ayden choked. "D-dude!"
"What is wrong with your brain?" Olivia asked, but she was laughing. It was a full, boisterous laugh, and Ayden found himself missing something when it stopped. "You are so lucky we have no customers right now."
