I love silence. There is just something about it that reaches out to me almost. I love the idea of speaking through words written or typed on a page, or expressed in emotion. I love the moments when the only sounds heard are the turning of pages to a novel which dragged you in unexpectedly, or the faint flutter of wings as nature becomes no further away than the end of your fingertips. I love the moments drowned by silence, but swallowed by the sounds we hardly hear or take for granted. I love how silence the ability to sneak up on you and catch you without knowing. I love its true beauty, the clarity it provides when everything becomes a little too much. I love the escape, the freedom it allows me to find.
