How to tell it’s Christmas time in Australia:
1. Windows and blinds must be closed at all times to keep out the heat
2. You come home every day smelling like a packet of Smoky Barbecue flavoured chips
3. You haven’t been able to see the sky in at least 5 days
4. The air is so thick with smoke it is hard to breathe
5. The backyard pool is naturally kept at a tropical temperature

@RCFletcher Lol, it certainly does. Especially having to dig cars out of the snow @eliza_the_turtle It doesn’t snow where I live unfortunately, so our winters are also just rain and often flooding. The closest place where it snows is only about an 8 hour drive away though. Thankfully my local area is safe from the fires at the moment

@TheSilentChatterBox see if you live somewhere where It actually does snow in the winter then it’s nice. But where I live it hardly ever snows. It just gets really cold and rains. But I suppose that’s still better then wildfires stay safe my dude xxx

Just had to come to grips with the crushing realisation that despite being one of the ‘tall friends’ my whole life, I am now one of the ‘short friends’. It sounds stupid, but I am a little shook

@eliza_the_turtle I’m not sure what exactly that is in metric but it sounds fairly short. I know some shorter people though so don’t worry XD I’m not exactly short in the usual sense (about 5’11) but everyone else is just really tall

@TheSilentChatterBox must be nice. I’m done growing according to my doctors XD I will never be over five feet tall idk how tall that is in the metric system but just know it’s short XD you’re more then likely taller then me so not all hope is lost my dude
