As you know, I've been struggling a little to write this story I've been wanting to write for a while now. I feel like I'm close, but I need to stretch my writing mind a bit before I start actually writing it. So, I'm going to write a shorter story first, just another idea I had floating around in my mind a while back. It's going to be short, sweet, to the point, and most of all, it's going to be my first foray into writing slice-of-life, which is the genre of my full-length story. I'll keep you guys updated on that.

Something I recently realized: out of my five works on Wattpad, two of them are poetry collections.  The others are all short stories. On Wattpad, I appear more a poet than a writer. That wasn’t supposed to happen. I gotta get writing more.

So, nobody wanted to tell me you can schedule publishing new chapters of your book? This is actually really really cool, a great feature that I love on my other social media platforms. You can bet I'll be putting this to good use.

I've decided to not use my usual first-person perspective for the story I'm working on. Just not really what this story needs, I think. Instead, I'm thinking of using a third-person narrator, but would you guys know of any good examples I can go off of? I will admit, it has been a second since I've read something with a similar perspective.

@TheStoryNerds hmm interesting, I almost always write in the narrative of 3d person. But just grab a few books, see how it's written, take examples from those. 3d person is more descriptive I would say, but in different areas. Whereas 1st person you might write about how it smells, the tempature, sounds, like what a person would initially feel, 3d person I think more describes the overall situation. Plus you can include details and descriptions that the reader themselves can be privy to, that the character in the story isn't aware of. If that makes sense. If you're confused just message me haha

I've been writing fairly often recently, but you guys will not be seeing what I'm writing for a while. I want to wait until I have at least five full-length chapters done before I start uploading them. And since I'm still not back at my prime writing-wise, it's going to take quite some time.

One thing I hate about coming back to writing after like two years of working in other media is how relatively lost you feel opening up a new story. My mind thinks of everything visually rather through words now, and it's really tough reaching back into my old writing vocabulary.

HELLO NERDS!
          
          Yep, it is I, THE STORY NERD, finally back on Wattpad since- yeesh, April was the last time I made an announcement, huh? Welp, I am coming back...sort of. Let me explain.
          
          Lastly, I've been working on many different projects, like animations, video game design, school, and especially my YouTube channel (subscribe if you haven't already-), and writing just kinda faded out a bit. But I'm changing that today! 
          
          I'm going to be posting new stories here and there, which are going to be highly experimental, and most will be out of my area of expertise. Why? Well, I can't say for now, but you'll here about it soon enough. They will be very interesting stories though, so I wouldn't be too worried about anything. 
          
          But yeah, so that's what's shaking. How y'all been by the way?
