On my second week of university (TheOpenUniversity)
          
          Unit topic: Cleopatra 

Happy new year all!!
          I hope you all have a year full of happiness, joy and peace 
          
          

I’m going into the new year with 
          
          5 out of 15 chapters of a Christmas novella written
          
          17 out of 34 chapters of my psychological thriller written
          
          4 new poems for my second poetry collection 
          
          And 2720 followers on my author TikTok (authorjmbarber) 
          
          2026 is a big year for me and I’m kicking it off early by aiming to write one more chapter or poem before midnight 
          
           

This year I published two books
          The Murder Of Her Foster Parents and my poetry collection We Are Human
          
          I’m working on a psychological thriller too and I start university in January (studying English literature and creative writing with the open university)
          
          I admit I’ve kinda pushed Wattpad to the bottom of my priorities, I do miss writing fanfics but something in me just can’t focus on them now, I love writing my original works, publishing them and sharing them with the world.
          
          One day maybe I’ll be traditionally published, have an agent and all that but for now I’m an indie author, I self publish my books via Amazon and I’m doing something I love.
