So, protests in the states and around the world. I don’t think I need to say much so I won’t. It is simple really, in the grand scheme of things. It shouldn’t be hard. But it is and I think that because of hundreds of years of hatred gone unpunished. Black and brown lives matter just as much as anyone else’s life. I don’t care what race or nationality you are. I never had, I am lucky enough to be black (albeit light skinned) and for that sole reason, not have had to face much racism. I want to go out to my city and protest but I’m unable to, so I try to do it other ways. I don’t think any kind of hatred based off of things you yourself can’t control are justified, because they can’t be. I cannot choose my race or sexuality and that being said someone’s hatred towards that is unreasonable. All I have to say is protest in peace and keep in mind that not all cops are bad. I often wonder what some of them are thinking, how they don’t want to be in this position but do what they’re told. I don’t take pity though, they have the option to put down their weapons and badge, but to at least acknowledge that not all of ‘em want this is important. I hope things change soon and that they change for better, not for worse. Thank you.
