@FunkyTheHat Yep. In fact, many animals survived to this day before the big asteroid ever struck Earth. Alligators/Crocodiles, sharks, insects, etc. Most birds are little more than smaller dinosaurs. Animals such as cassowaries are as close as we can get to smaller- to mid-sized dinosaurs, more reminiscent of how dinosaurs survived in ancient times. What makes it even more interesting is that a couple of mammals survived the big asteroid and flourished once the big dinosaurs took the hit. It's been a goal with Gabatrix to ensure that the Aksren and Yutilians, especially the Yutilians, evolved from Velociraptors, are depicted as more directly birdlike rather than the Dionysus-like depictions we see in Jurassic Park. :)

@capim50 Absolutely. The next book planned is going to be Gabatrix: Darin and the Frontier. It's going to be the only story that's going to be taking place after Gabatrix: The Wheels of Thunder and before Gabatrix: The Last Tank. The rest of the Gabatrix stories will continue after The Forgotten. :)

@capim50 I'm currently working on Gabatrix: The Forgotten, next dealing with a new alien race. After that, I have Gabatrix: Darin and the Frontier planned, which will take place between Gabatrix: The Wheels of Thunder and The Last Tank. There's also other things you can enjoy with Gabatrix, such as my YouTube channel, including samples of the audiobook and the music that goes with the audiobooks. :)
