Here's the sneak peek! >>>>>>
"Do you have a sister?" he asks. Damn. And here I was hoping my nerd disguise would work.
"Yeah, why?" I ask.
"Does she go here?" he asks.
"No, she's in college," I say. Where is he going with this?
"I think I met her at a dance club last Saturday," he says. I curse under my breath. I wish he would just leave and forget that he saw me there.
"So?" I ask, waiting for it to come.
"Do you have another sister? Because there was this girl I met and she looks similar to you, and you're wearing her shoes so I just figured..." he trails off. I admittedly panic. Suddenly, an idea forms. He thinks it's my sister, so why not go with it?
"Oh! You meant my other sister!" I exclaim quickly.
"You have two sisters?" he asks. I mentally curse at myself, knowing I suck at lying.
"Yeah, one is older and the other is my twin," I lie, with a fake smile.
"Your twin? Does she go here?"
"No!" I almost yell. "She goes to a different high school."
"Well, do you think you could give me her number?" he asks.
I quickly say "No" before he can grab his phone out.
"Why not?" he asks, looking confused and... well I would say disappointed.
"She told me you pissed her off," I say narrowing my eyes at him, knowing he definitely pissed her off. "And wouldn't leave her alone when she told you to."
"I mean, yeah. I really like her," he says. Yeah, you like her because she's the one thing you can't get, I think to myself.
"I'm not giving you her number," I say, walking past him.
"What? Why not?" he asks from behind.
"It's not my number to give," I lie, knowing it is my number.
"At least tell her David says hi!" he yells. She heard you, I think to myself as I wave without looking back. A small smile grows as I realize... This could be fun.
