Fern Read is a 28-year-old fantasy author with a passion for crafting immersive worlds and compelling characters. Currently working on her debut novel, she weaves stories filled with magic, conflict, and the complexities of human (and supernatural) relationships. When she's not writing, Fern enjoys music, a lot of which is detailed in her writing. 

Fern wrote her first book aged just eight years old, and twenty years later has begun to release the stories of characters she has imagined her whole life. 

Fern grew up in Essex, United Kingdom and spent a lot of time reading fantasy books, with the love only growing as she grew older. The eldest of three daughters Fern has a big love for family and draws inspiration from those around her including her husband who she married in 2022. 

A love for music also drives Ferns writing. You will see in most books a playlist, giving her readers an insight into the world she created and how music played its part.
