Writing from the suburbs of New Jersey or the mountains of Pakistan. I love cats even though they make me sneeze (How can I not kiss those cute little noses?!), enjoy a nice hot cup of tea any time of the day, like painting so much I occasionally get teary-eyed while immersed in a project (no, it's not the fumes). I love writing even though I'm pretty sure it's the most torturous job on earth (what with all the crazy, often irrational characters running around in my head yelling for attention, that bastard editor who likes to grouch and be pessimistic, and the amount of time I spend slaving at a computer just to get rejection notices or feel hopelessly at a dead end). Yeah, writing can be super fun! But really, no matter how awful it is, I can't imagine a better way to spend my time.
