You know, I was half expecting the Seraphim to be sorta good guys. Like yeah, I know that they're evil but with how Cherry talked about how the Stratocracy was doing all that shit out of "survival", I was thinking "Oh, so he talks about the Seraphim like this because they're are fighting against the Stratocracies rule".

Heck, Gadianton straight up acted like a Seraphim during the whole lab incident, so I was genuinely expecting that one dude to reveal he was protecting the animals, until he killed Tusk that is...

The_Cheribim

@Heuhehsu More unexpected things about the Seraphim will be revealed soon in the coming chapter. It’ll all make sense

Something that's been rattling my brain lately is why the Stratocracy wanted to destroy Zootopia and now basically subjugate it like Gadianton said. Did Gadianton not know about the Stratocracian Fleets still surviving? Was he expecting to rule over it like a king along with Cherry, Zootopians as slaves?

And why did they destroy such a oasis of resources instead of taking over? Did they see through Gadiantons helmet feed what Bell did to his men? Is it something to do with the fact that they were also being deceived, as is Rebecca?

And why did that Stratocrat Soldier Bell found have footage of Zootopia being destroyed? Research? Plans of attack? Maybe a different Zootopia all together?

The_Cheribim

@Heuhehsu We'll find out more in the upcoming chapters, but it's basically out of vengeance, spreading fear, and asserting dominance. If you go back to Gadianton's death, it's implied he knew something about a fleet - but that's up for interpretation. Though I wouldn't say he'd expect to be ruling over Zootopia like a King, per se. More like a colonel

For your second paragraph question, there was a mix of taking over and destroying. Not solely one. More about that later. And also, with the facility being destroyed, there's no way Gadianton's helmet footage would survive.

Lastly, that was another planet being destroyed - not Zootopia itself. More of a foreshadow, if anything. Simply a different world that the Stratocracy conquered long ago

Been reading through "Lost In Transit" and it just hit me, wouldn't any of the mammals who escaped from Cherry when he went savage be able to say that he, in fact, didn't go rogue?

I know for a fact The Maned Wolf is lying out his ass, but I'm not sure that the rest of the officers would lie about their own.

The_Cheribim

@Heuhehsu well, going rogue vs savage are two different things. Both are aggressive, but one is choosing to be aggressive. And it’s somewhat implied (before his death) that Mr. Tusk didn’t believe the lies about Cheribim, just like Jay Howl never did (including others).

Even with eye witness accounts from a handful of mammals, that’s nothing compared to the millions (possibly billions) of mammals exposed to the footage when it got broadcasted to the entire world. That immense, widespread fear easily trumps the reassurance from a tiny, subset of the population. In that regard, in makes sense to me.

Also, despite the Maned Wolf being a jerk to Cheribim, you might be surprised by what he actually said to other mammals (though, not technically established… yet) =)

@The_Cheribim I'm mostly talking about Mr Tusk, Jay Howl, mammals who went with Cherry to investigate said missing mammals. Surely, they would've given eye witness accounts to the ZBI or ZPD, or atleast would've said something when the footage got revealed...

Nothing about this makes sense and I say this in a very good way, it is genuinely interesting how it maybe leading on to wider conspiracy than usual...

@Heuhehsu Don’t forget that those mammals were exposed to the footage by Dr. Bell, thereby messing with their minds into thinking Cheribim would inevitably go rogue. By that point, they had tragically gone mad
