          I'll update Wattpad here and there, but most of my latest updates will be in this Google Doc (e.g., new dialogue, pictures, grammar corrections, etc.).

The final, fully fleshed-out chapter is posted.  It was originally going to be Chapter 45: A New Beginning, but since I rearranged some of the older chapters, it's now called Chapter 44: A New Beginning.
          
          I'm currently uploading summaries of the remaining chapters of this story.  In total, it's 65 chapters.   Maybe one day I'll add more dialogue to them and flesh them out a little more, but not fully, like my older chapters.
          
          In a few hours, once everything else is posted, I'll consider this story complete.  Thank you, everyone, for following Cheribim's journey =)

I wanted to give everyone an honest update about the future of this story.
          
          Chapter 45 is now finished, and I have also written the full remaining summary for the rest of the story. For a while, I seriously considered stepping away from writing altogether. There are other things in my life that need more attention, and this story has required a massive time investment over the years. As I have gotten older, it has become harder to continue writing it in the same way.
          
          There have also been some practical issues behind the scenes. My account and stories have been hacked before, which caused me to lose progress on work I had saved online. I still have my drafts preserved elsewhere, and I am keeping the remaining chapters and summaries in a more secure place now, but that experience also contributed to my decision.
          
          Even so, I knew I needed closure. After everything I have invested in this fanfic, I could not bring myself to leave it unfinished. I also did not want readers to be left without an ending.
          
          So I have decided on a hybrid approach. The chapters that are already fully written will still be posted, along with their summaries. For the remaining chapters that were never fully fleshed out, I will post the summaries instead. That way, the story will still reach its conclusion, and readers will know how Cheribim’s journey ends.
          
          To be clear, I am officially done writing fully fleshed-out chapters for this story. I may still make small edits here and there, and feedback is still appreciated, but the rest of the story will be completed through summaries.
          
          This is not the most ideal way to finish, but it is better than letting the story drop off forever. At the very least, the full journey and ending will be available.
          
          Thank you to everyone who read, followed, commented, encouraged, or stayed with the story over the years. Your support meant more than you probably realize.

Hey as a fellow  Don Bluth fan I wanna ask a question fan to fellow fan in the Secrets of Nihm the flashback clearly shows the rats before being experimented on were clearly wild normal rats before they got the injections.
          
          
          Did ya find it kinda odd how it was a injection that gave them intelligence when Miss Brisby who's a normal filed mouse thats unrelated to NIHM has the sane level of cognitive function like them without a injection? 
          
          That plot hole has always got to me

Ngl, Cheribim's a better man than me because if a year of good will is undone by a single person and I fumble somebody like Charity because of it, I'm crashing the fuck out
