Harpies. Creatures of greek origin,
which remained well known throughout the middle ages. they were often depicted as lovely women with the wings and tails of birds, along with the talons of a bird as the feet. Often they were portrayed in both malevolent and benevolent ways.

In front of you stood a large set of ancient ruins, which nature had begun to over take many years ago. The feeling of the area was welcoming but at the same time it held a feeling of warning and threat. Old feathers scattered across the ground told whoever was there that many creatures, likely of bird origin, lived in the ruins.
This was the home of Aellopous, Celaeno, and Ocypete, the three most known harpies.
