Happy FESTA everyone
Hello.
I'm writing a letter on a good day, after a long time.
I don't particularly love the phrase "one person saves another," nor am I someone who believes in it completely.
But because I've lived while occasionally hearing such words directed at me—far more than I deserve— I've found myself looking back and wondering whether I, too, have been saved by you.
I'm trying to live more simply than before, more plainly, or perhaps more courageously.
The moments when I become completely immersed in sentiment and emotion have become much fewer.
Even so, the world still feels sad to me.
No matter how many joyful days there are, that seems unavoidable.
Or perhaps it's actually because I'm so happy.
I've spoken so many words, and sent so many sounds out into the world.
I don't really know which melodies, which little stones I've thrown, have reached those of you who are here now.
But I think I'll always be someone who keeps sending things out, keeps throwing them.
Thirteen years ago, and in the future as well.
As long as there are people willing to listen.
Being able to make memories together, and to grow older year after year together, makes me very happy.
And I'm still glad that I have someone I can call out to.
Again and again, I see myself through you.

Today is the thirteenth, a Saturday.
A day that couldn't be better.
Even if someone asks, "What meaning does that have?"
I want to keep building up, in a corner of my heart, the memories that only we know and the days we'll celebrate together.
