I.R.I.S. is a corporation that does research on different subjects, develops technology, and materials. It attempts to improve said technology by utilizing anomalies, but tries to avoid inhumane methods in doing so.

There are three main I.R.I.S. facilities on earth. Two are in one nation. In this parallel universe, france, the british isles, and the east of north america are one country, called UNAN, standing for united north atlantic nations.
