My dad just did more feminist parenting: my brother and I were arguing over if it’s wrong for women to wear suits (it’s not) because I’m talking about outfits for a murder mystery dinner. After listening to my brother throw sexist comments out: my dad comes out with a bow tie and his cummerbund, throwing them to me until I’m giggling in front of my irritated brother.

When my dad has good moments: they’re very good, they *almost* make me forget bad ones.

Update: “I’d be interested in a girl dressed like that. Yeah, until your brother comes up with something, he can’t say nothin about this. It’s a smart outfit.” -my father

A show just said that America is bad at depth perception and gender equality: my extra extra conservative father agreed, I am proud of his lack of cowardice for the moment, hopefully that conviction stays with him.

I’m sorry for any of those who might lose their homes or have already. I should hate to say it, but there is a positive side to the fact that most of those who have lost their homes can afford another right away.

I am praying for those and those who are waiting to hear a message of relief or one of preparation for upcoming. I’m glad the lost souls’ number is quite low regardless of how many buildings have gone, ten people out of nine thousand buildings is a miracle that so many have made it out safely. I pray that more will, but more so that these fires will stop.

Charlie and The Chocolate Factory (2005) is just a Marvel au where Howard is the founder of a chocolate factory instead of America’s defense contractor and Tony is a poor boy who wants a family not a kingdom.

Add in the detail that Howard’s parents worked common jobs (we don’t know how they treated him) and he got himself up to where he is.
