Goth -  goth is a culture and goth people pretty much hate the world to be fair. They like to embrace the darkness (kind of like the people in Night World at the club). Goth people are in their twenties and thirties mostly and they don't all wear black all the time or worship the devil (Omg people really? You gotta stop believing junk like goth people do that..). Goths also have sub-cultures like Cybergoth, Victorian Goth, romantic goth. Etc. 

Emo- Emo is a phase. It usually starts at 13 and goes on. Lots of the, say they have mental disorders and fight over who has the worst  ( some of them don't). Emo was originated from music and fake Emos don't know anything about emotive hardcore music. My Chemicl Romance started then self-harm thing actually. Emo was about the music now it's about sadly the fashion. I have met many FAKE Emos on wattpad. Those people use google images (look up Emo boy or Emo girl) and they find their profile images. Just look up Emo girl or boy and you will find many of their profile picture. Most come from Tumblr I think. Self-harming is a serious mental illness and it is not cool. Don't fake it for the trend

Hipster - hipsters are a sub-culture. They contain young adults to 30 year olds. Hipsters usually live in urban areas. They usually own thrift clothes and vintage clothes. They aren't part of the main-stream. They like indie and alternative music (indie-rock too.). They eat organic foods (sometimes), have generally progressive political view, and alternative lifestyles.
