Samantha had always been a bit of a perfectionist. As a child, she'd spent hours practicing her piano scales and perfecting her penmanship, always striving to be the best in everything she did. But it wasn't until she met Alex that her perfectionism turned into something darker.
Alex was a new guy in town, and Samantha was immediately drawn to his easy smile and charming personality. They started dating soon after they met, and at first, everything was perfect. They went on romantic dates, shared their deepest secrets, and talked about their dreams for the future.
But as the weeks went by, Samantha began to realize that she was becoming obsessed with Alex. She couldn't stop thinking about him, even when they weren't together. She checked his social media profiles constantly, looking for any signs that he might be losing interest in her. She even started showing up unannounced at his job and calling him at all hours of the day and night.
Alex tried to be patient with Samantha, but he soon grew frustrated with her constant need for attention. He told her that he needed some space, that he needed time to figure out what he wanted. But Samantha couldn't accept that. She became even more obsessed with Alex, convinced that he was the only person who could make her happy. And she was willing to do whatever it took to keep him in her life.
