In honour of suicide prevention month, I'd like to share a bit about my story.
The first person who I lost to suicide was a close friend of mine when I was 14. His name was Will and he was so smart. He always had a passion for science, and everyone knew he'd go far.
Will went missing from his home and was gone for over 30 hours. He had autism, so his parents said he was probably just upset. The police wouldn't let anyone look for him.
About two months after that, I had my first attempt. My older brother was struggling with his mental health and had attempted a few times, and my older sister attempted earlier this year.
My younger brothers mental health started going down hill when he was diagnosed with Lymphoma Cancer. He's getting better, but we're all worried about his mental health.
I've lost many more people in my life to suicide, I hope you know you're loved. You're so special, my dms are open.
Please be sure to remember that you're doing amazing, no matter what anyone says. I'm so proud of you for still being here. It's tricky.
