Very random but I LOVE THE NEW CHANGES?
          And hate them, they caused some problems XD
          
          First of all when the series function dropped....... I was so excited and happy but.... let's just say pleasantly fulfilled. Let's call it that. I've been waiting for it.
          
          I loved collecting all my fics in one place, it was so fun!
          
          And now I came back to do some more maintenance (and check if by editing Brisktail I accidentally created a plothole, oops) I find EVEN MORE? I think you used to be able to mark your work as fanfiction but it wasn't as sophisticated as this. Now you can do that and even if it's AU and such (I see the similarities to AO3, you can't fool me...)
          
          But also, guys. Guys. Wings of Fire is not an official fandom??? Here? I had to make it custom????
          
          Also one of the updates seemed to break my stories and mark them all as uncomplete and not mature which is annoying. I think it had a hard time saving the mature rating for some reason which is the worst because I need it on all my stories lol (baby me read a lot of violent animal books and I guess that's my thing, now, oops)
          
          So sorry if you see an explosion of random notifications!!!

          Looking for a job yadda yadda industry sucks yadda yadda it will happen when it happens yadda yadda
          
          I thought I could get back into writing while job hunting but I hit a roadblock once I got to Brisktail's book. Basically, I wanted to get the PineWing conlang into a semi-functional state, but the choices I was making while I was working on it made the process harder and harder each time. I learned I know laughably little about English and also how stupid it is (part of my problem is one word can be used in multiple ways with subtly different meanings and translating that into a conlang is proving to be very difficult)
          
          But I also wanted to do some stuff for Alate Atta's Ascension while I cleaned up Ventus and I finally got a kick to get back into work again. I'll tell you a secret... I don't remember at what point it was while making that series, but I really wanted to do a book about one of Gomphus' champions from the Night Hawk tournament. In the very early stages of the concept, it was going to be just a random new character, (which makes me think this was way before writing Hawker's book) because now I know who it should be! ACANTHA!
          
          So that got me super duper excited but I have this weird hangup where I can't start anything without a proper plan and I CAN plan this but I ALSO have to learn how to finish this dang conlang before I lose my mind (too late, it's gone, never had it in the first place-)
          
          Ok MAYBE I could just put a pin in it and do it later... But that's messy and I am also technically planning for the return series by fleshing out the PineWing culture at the same time, so-
          
          I am still here, just struggling a little. Some people still responded to my update last year and I am eternally grateful. I would do this even if no one was reading, but knowing there are people makes me smile when I'm tired :)

So I was rereading one of Hawker's chapters, and it got me thinking. What if there was a close cousin to the dartwings but based on a damselfly. I envision them as a slimmer dragon with powerful eyesight but bodies weaker than dartwings. Also the wings cutting things instead of hitting them.  Just a series of thoughts I had.

This is a follow-up kinda to that last short story I sent you a link to but based in the future at least a couple of thousands of years later. It's a series of short stories centred around the perspectives of two characters who are mates. Sorry if it rude posting these links in these message thing.
