Don't lie to me about the future
It is the only thing I cannot see through
If you tell me forever
Or even tomorrow
I'll cry knowing you lied
Or I'll never stop hoping that
Forever doesn't end tonight
I'm always running from the memory of your touch
I'm always waiting for my skin to recover
From the imprint of your hand
Gripped firmly around mine
In what you said was love
But I knew better
And I do better now
Senior year is about to be terrifying and amazing and hectic. Alot of stuff is about to go down, I already feel it.
Should have a lot of poetry coming soon. I think I have a good 300 google docs worth of writing. T-T
@Through-a-tunnel Aw well here is your lucky day! I just published the first few chapters of my new poetry book, While I Get My Mind Together! I have a feeling you will like it. I'm glad you like my poetry!
<3 Aww thank you so much for your encouragement! I know I can do this. Sometimes it feels like the pressure is too much but I know God will get me through this. I just have to continue to have faith. And continue to listen to encouraging words from people like you! TYSM lyt! I hope you keep those same words in your heart as you go throughout school as well. Have a blessed day

Don't become the ghost that drifts between my touch. Your eyes dim and light like a flickering candle, only a gust from blowing out completely. Can't we just rekindle what was there? I can only love what was there.
