After several decades of putting this story together in my head and various stacks of notebooks, I decided to give writing a shot.
It will become quite obvious that I have no formal education in writing, and in fact this is the very first thing I've ever attempted to write. 
It will not be perfect, but I hope the story and characters are at least captivating.
