I'm going to take a month or so off as I prepare for Volume III, but (as they say in comics), Nightwrath will return in "It Runs On Blood" (Spring 2024). Fear Her Wrath!
Fear Her Wrath: Volume II is fast approaching its conclusion, and the novel should be finalized by the end of the month. I've also published a new story, "The Inquisitor's Tale." This six-part medieval mystery follows an inquisitor investigating an outbreak of plague in a small village. As each of his suspects tells a different story, the inquisitor begins to wonder if some darker power is at work.
Just published a nw installment of Marbrose City Shadows. This story, set nine years before the beginning of Fear Her Wrath, takes a look at the relationship between cops and gangsters in Marbrose City.
Fear Her Wrath 1.18.1 Patch Notes:
-Polished up Emery's dialogue and added to the description of West Marbrose in chapter 18.
Not so much a "patch notes" as a confession: I have retconned the spelling Dr. Hunt's first name, which appeared in Chapter 56 of Fear Her Wrath. I knew a kid named Colman growing up, but I always assumed (wrongly, as it turns out) that his name was spelled "Coleman." Well, I happened to stumble onto his Facebook profile the other day and I discovered the proper spelling. So, since "Coleman" is really only used as I last name, I thought I would be justified in making a change to Fear Her Wrath despite it being officially finalized. Think of it like fixing a typo.
Fear Her Wrath 1.16.1 Patch Notes:
-Added a reference to Merceron being in the Egyptian Revival style to chapter 4.
-Made some small changes to chapter 5, including moving the loanshark from the Chilltern Banks to Joplin Heights.
I had a lot of trouble with chapter 8, but it's finally out. Chapter 9 should (hopefully) be on the usual schedule.
Fear Her Wrath 1.07.1 Patch Notes:
-Altered the final sentences of Chapter 7 so Maggie reflected on her newfound enthuisiasm for tracking down the Nihilist instead of vaguely recapping the night's events.
Fear Her Wrath 1.06.1 Patch Notes:
-Polished up some narration in chapter 4.
-Changed the spelling of "Emory" to "Emery" to reflect her namesake, architect Emery Roth.
Fear Her Wrath 1.03.1 Patch Notes:
