Hi, my name is Tina and I am a single mother of 3 young amazing adults. I love to write because it literally transports me into a world of which I can still a part of. When my 3rd child was born I began to develop symptoms of a pre-existing genetic condition I was born with, called Alkaptonuria. So at the age of 20 I began to experience mild osteo-rheumatoid arthritis in my lower back, and was never given any real explanation for this at the time. But then when I turned 30 things began to look bleak, and I would wake up in the mornings in stiffness and pain which sometimes caused temporary paralysis. All the doctors and specialists for 15 years were baffled as to why I was burdened with so much of this pain until recently when a true diagnosis was made, and all because I never gave up the search for better answers. A lot of my creative writing blossomed in these past few years because I have been bedridden. My life is still full, and despite all of these hardships I believe it has made me stronger. Writing has given me a chance to escape through my characters. I can go anywhere and be anyone when I write. My goal is to awaken others spiritually through the stories I tell, and to one day hopefully write something worthy enough for the big screen, the ultimate fruition and reward for any writer.
