I mostly get bored and write random shit. Sometimes it gets a little over the top. ("The two Luna's is a prime example of this. I definitely started to wonder where the fuck I was going with that story. Eventually, I was able to reel it back back in and make it all come together in the end.) 
But generally, I figure fuck it, it's my story, I can write what I want. If others don't like the crazy shit I write, they don't have to read it. ;)

I should say if you read my books, some parts of the stories I've lived. I find it's easier to write stuff I actually know about. 
Example: I went to Teen Missions. In fact, many of Milo's experiences stem from to my own life.

Fun fact. Originally, I had Milo kill himself at the end of his story. But I ended up crying a whole day about it, so I erased a few chapters and changed the ending. You'll probably notice there is a couple chapters where the story lags. And I think the original ending was better. But I just could bring myself to kill the poor sweet little guy.
