I published the first chapter of my new book This Is Home almost a week ago, and I'm still panicking. My self-confidence is so low that I'm thinking about not even publishing the book because it might do bad, but I'm forcing myself to keep it up. In the end, I know someone out there will like the book and even though it is mostly based on true events in my life, maybe some can relate to the hardships the characters go through.
Since I'm shit at descriptions, This Is Home is a Beatles fanfic that is in the first person pov. It takes place in 1982, New York. John Lennon is still alive, and he is still grieving the death of his wife (Yoko Ono). One day the main character, a 14-year-old outcast, meets him on a bench she claims her own and a bond forms between the two. They don't know each other names, so she calls him Roman because of his roman looking nose, and he calls her Muet or Girl since she is a selective mute.
They go through the hardships of life together and learn that life is so much more than they initially thought.
