So I’ve decided to start reviewing books I read (including the ones I drop) so I can just let my thoughts be known on the book. So lately I picked up a book here on wattpad known as “the cursed lamb” written by “littlelindsay”. The story is about a young women living as a slave In a kingdom called “winter fest” oppressed by the higher ups. One day she messes up so badly she is tied up in a post outside the city walls left to be ravaged by the wolves and that is where she finds her mate. Now I generally liked the writing in the book, how much detail she put into this was amazing, honestly it was nice to see something like this on wattpad and not being a “pay to read”. The story progresses nicely up until chapter 9 which is where I decided to drop the book for one main reason. In the story it feels like the author is constantly cramming down feminism down my throat.. now don’t get get me wrong feminism is a great thing to have in a book, especially with a female protagonist, and it’s a nice thing to see in a werewolf novel. But I personally felt like it was just starting to get a little too preachy for my taste, especially when it would bring me out of the novel with how it would get brought up in places where It didn’t need to be there and the author was just trying to force that in. Now Remember I haven’t finished this book, Hell I only got to chapter 9 so I don’t know how good the book gets, or even if the preachiness lessens up, So don’t take my word for it since I really recommend this book for people who want a mature and actually well written book on wattpad. Maybe I’ll pick it up again later but for now I think I’ll pass on to the next book.
