Y'all, I don't care who's doing it, or how many are doing it, but please stop write-shaming people.

If you don't want to read something because it's long, don't read it, but don't blame that on how long something is, blame it on your willingness to follow through in something that doesn't interest you.

It's not a bad thing to not want to read something (unless, of course, it's incredibly important, then you probably should read it, though that's whatever), however, it's really crappy to blame that on someone as if them writing that much is an issue- especially when it's not.

It's people using their voice, and negative phrasing discourages that.

Think about what you say before you say it.

It affects more than just you.

@Tis-but-a-fleshwound I completely agree. When it comes to fiction specifically, to me it's like growing a plant, you know? And if you don't want that plant in your home, that's absolutely fine, leave it there for someone else to pick it up. Drowning it is mental.

Hello! I hope you are staying safe through these rough times. I was wondering if you could give a shot at my Urban Fantasy Romance book: THE COURAGE OF STARS. It'd mean so much to me.

I will leave a link here if you don't mind, in case something catches your eye on it: https://www.wattpad.com/story/278578112-the-courage-of-stars

@Tis-but-a-fleshwound Thank you so much for those wonderful words! As I've said, there's no rush, or need to explain much of anything, I just really enjoy you as a reader and I'm eager for you feedback, but please take whatever time you need.

@WoodLandBooks Thank you for reminding me, it's kind of you to be so patient. I've been better.
I promise you that I will binge it either this week or the week after. I swear I don't understand why I'm unconsciously avoiding it. It's such an astounding book, hilarious and with depth, and it moves me, which means whatever is happening is solely with me, not your beautiful writing.
I hope you are exceedingly well! And I hope your book is prospering!
