For the duration of the summer break from classes (as you may have noticed), I was away and not updating at all. This is because I was in Basic Combat Training at Fort Sill, Oklahoma, for the Army National Guard. Next summer I will be going away again to Fort Sam Houston in Texas for Advanced Individual Training to train to be a 68W Combat Medic. I offer my sincere apologies for not letting anyone know ahead of time. It is my desire to continue to publish story parts as the year progresses. This message is more or less a "Hey, I'm still alive." I will do my best to type out chapters as quickly as I can while keeping the quality of the stories as high as I can make it.
          
          Again, I thank you for your patience and hope that you will stay with me into the coming future.

I would just like to say that when I heard that The High Road was coming back I was so excited to see my favorite Wattpad OTP finally get together. @Luke_Thor you know that I will become the biggest fan girl for both books if I can have The High Road back.

I heard through the grapevine that you might start The High Road back up?

Enjoyed reading you story I hope you can finish it at some time. 

For several personal reasons, I am sad to announce that I will be placing "The High Road" on an indefinite hiatus for the time being. However, recently I have developed the idea for a new story I am calling "The Red Lion." I will be publishing the first chapter of this new story today (March 24th) and I ask that you please let me know what you think of it.
          
          To those of you who have helped this account along and supported "The High Road" I thank you with as much sincerity as I can muster. I hope that you will continue to provide support for further stories as I continue to write to the best of my ability. I hope to publish a new chapter of "The Red Lion" every week-and-a-half to two weeks, primarily due to my increasingly busy schedule, workload and stress level. I deeply apologize for the sudden halt of the previous story, but I hope you will understand that I cannot continue it right now for personal reasons. 
          
          I thank you all again for all the comments, likes, promoting, and well-wishes extended to me and to @Falling_Fate throughout this experience and hope you will give ear to the story of Darach Murtaugh in "The Red Lion."

Update? 

Another quick message to all:
          
          A buddy of mine just posted the beginning of a story of his to the site. If you're into suspenseful, vivid action scenes and fantasy elements, definitely give it a read and a vote. It's called The Silver Demon, check it out @AugestLCrow. 

Because these last few weeks have been very stressful and busy for many, I haven't done much in the way of publishing. I hope to see this change in the near future, but I will not make any promises for fear of breaking them. Thus, I apologize for the absence. 
          
          The results of the competition have been accumulated and are as follows:
